Privacy Policy

PitchPane is operated by [Your company legal name], [Street, City, Postcode, Country] (“we”, “us”). We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us about anything in it at pitchpane.contact@gmail.com.

• We collect what we need to run the service: your email, the projects and images you create, and your subscription status.
• We don’t sell your information, show ads, or use advertising or analytics trackers.
• When you use the AI features, the screenshots and text involved are sent to our AI provider to produce the result.
• Payments are handled by Paddle. We never see or store your card details.
• You can export or delete your work at any time, and ask us to delete your account.

Account information. Your email address and a unique account ID. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your basic profile (such as your name and profile picture) with our sign-in provider.

Your content. The screenshots, photos, logos and other images you upload; the projects you design (text, translations, layouts and settings); and small preview thumbnails of your projects.

Subscription information. Your plan, subscription status and renewal date, and the customer and subscription IDs Paddle gives us. Paddle, not us, collects your payment details and billing address.

Usage limits. A monthly count of how many AI requests you have made, so we can apply your plan’s limits.

Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps) for security and troubleshooting.

Local mode. If you use PitchPane without an account, your projects and images are stored only in your browser (IndexedDB) on your device. We don’t receive them unless you use a feature that needs our servers, such as AI copy or server-side export.

We use your information to:

• provide the service: save and load your projects, render and export your screenshots, and run the features you ask for;
• manage your account, plan and usage limits, and process subscriptions through Paddle;
• send service emails, such as sign-in links and important notices about your account or these policies;
• keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems;
• comply with legal obligations, such as tax and accounting rules.

If you are in the EU, UK or a similar jurisdiction, our legal bases are: performing our contract with you (running the service you signed up for), our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention and improving reliability) and legal obligations. We don’t use your content to train AI models, and we don’t use it for marketing.

AI headlines and AI translation are optional. When you use them, we send the following to OpenAI, which provides the AI models: reduced-size copies of the screenshots involved, the app name and description you entered, and the text to be written or translated. OpenAI processes it to return the result to us.

Your screenshots are never used to train AI models. We don't train on them, and under OpenAI’s API data policies, data sent through its API is not used to train its models. We also ask OpenAI not to store our requests for later use; OpenAI may keep them only for a limited period (for abuse monitoring) under its own policies. AI output is generated automatically — please review it before publishing (see our Terms).

We share information only with service providers that help us run PitchPane, under contracts that limit how they can use it:

• Supabase — database, file storage for your images, and sign-in;
• Google Firebase — sign-in, when enabled;
• OpenAI — AI headlines, ordering and translation, only when you use those features (never used for AI training);
• Paddle — checkout, payments, tax and invoicing. Paddle is our Merchant of Record and handles payment information under its own privacy policy;
• Our hosting provider — serving the website and running our servers.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public, or as part of a merger or acquisition (in which case we’ll tell you before your information falls under a different privacy policy). We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

We use only what’s needed to keep you signed in and to run the editor: sign-in cookies or browser storage from our authentication provider, and browser storage (IndexedDB) for local-mode projects. We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies. Fonts and images are served from our own site, not third-party font or CDN services.

Our service providers may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK equivalents.

• Projects and images — until you delete them or your account.
• Account information — while your account is open. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account, projects and images within 30 days, and remove them from backups within a further 30 days.
• Billing records — kept by Paddle and by us for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
• Server logs — kept for a short period for security, then deleted.
• Local-mode data — stays in your browser until you delete the project or clear your browser data.

Your images are stored in private storage that only your account can read through the app, access to projects is restricted to their owner at the database level, and data is encrypted in transit. Our team doesn't browse your content: we access it only to provide the Service (for example when you use server rendering), when you ask us for help, or when the law requires it. Deleting a project also deletes the images uploaded to it. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the authorities of a breach where the law requires.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
• correct inaccurate information;
• delete your information or your account;
• receive your information in a portable format (you can also export your screenshots at any time);
• object to or restrict certain processing;
• complain to your local data protection authority.

To make a request, email pitchpane.contact@gmail.com from the address on your account. We’ll respond within one month (or the time your local law requires) and won’t treat you differently for exercising your rights. California residents: we don’t sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.

PitchPane is a tool for app developers and is not directed to children. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

We’ll update this page when our practices change and revise the effective date above. If a change is significant, we’ll let signed-in users know by email or in the app before it takes effect.
